Taking the leap to launch Auction Hammer Midlands was exciting but, admittedly, a bit nerve-wracking. Seeing how far we’ve come in just a short time is amazing. We’re thrilled to share the journey with you – our highs, challenges, and plans for the future.
When we rebranded as Auction Hammer Midlands in June 2023, we were ready to make an impact in the Midlands property market. The new branding felt like a fresh start, and we were all set to bring something new and honest to the auction scene. With our first auction on July 20th, 2023, we achieved a 63% success rate and raised a remarkable £2.7 million for our clients. For a first-time out, this was a win, but it was also just the beginning.
Since then, we’ve held ten auctions, each a step forward and a learning experience. We’re proud to say that we now maintain an average success rate of over 80% and have raised just short of £15 million for our clients. This is a huge testament to our team’s hard work and commitment to a smooth, honest, transparent auction process.
Building Trust and Relationships
A big part of our success has been the relationships we’ve built along the way. We’ve been privileged to work with a network of buyers, sellers, and partner agents who’ve placed their trust in us. It’s because of your enthusiasm, feedback, and support that we’ve managed to grow and refine our processes – and for that, we’re immensely grateful.
One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that the auction business is about so much more than sales; it’s about people, listening to what they need, and creating an environment where they feel supported. We’ve had clients hesitant to sell at auction, but with guidance and honest communication, they’ve left with positive experiences and great results.

We’ve seen a wide variety of properties come through, each with its own story. Some have been incredible investment opportunities, while others were unique refurbishment projects that sparked much interest. We’ve auctioned everything from derelict cottages and ready-to-go homes to plots of land and commercial properties needing a little TLC. Each auction brings its own energy, and seeing buyers get excited about a new project or investment is one of the best parts of our job.
A few stand-out properties come to mind that really brought a buzz to our auctions. These were properties where bidding wars took off, completely exceeding initial guide prices and showcasing the power of the auction room. And it’s not just about the highest bid – we take pride in seeing how buyers and sellers feel supported, informed, and encouraged throughout the process.

This journey hasn’t been without its hurdles. From ensuring smooth online bidding experiences to adapting to a fast-paced property market, we’ve faced many learning curves. With each auction, we’ve refined our processes, enhanced our systems, and taken feedback on board. Our goal is to make the auction experience as simple, transparent, and enjoyable as possible, and we’re constantly evolving to achieve that.
